If you take even a passing interest in art, you’ve probably heard that Christie’s is auctioning Andy Warhol’s iconic image of Marilyn Monroe this May for an estimated $200 million.

$200 million.

You can argue all day about the value of that investment vs. what those funds could do somewhere else, but you really can’t argue that the buyer will own a one-of-a-kind cultural icon.
